About St. Mark - Frequently Asked Questions

Where are we located?
St. Mark is located at One North Road in Circle Pines a few blocks west of Centennial High School and east of Lexington.

What times are our worship services?
September through May, St. Mark offers worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:45 and Wednesday evenings a modern worship service is held at 6:30. June, July and August, we worship at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and 7:00 on Wednesday evenings. We have additional worship services on Christmas Eve, during Lent, and on Easter.

When do we serve communion?
Martin Luther reveled in that promise of forgivenness and eternal life as he came to the Lord's table on a daily basis. He said he needed that reminder and promise every single day! And so at St. Mark, we offer Holy Communion at every Sunday worship service (Also offered as a part of festival worship services on Easter and Christmas Eve and others.). We hope and pray that you will feel blessed and comforted as you join with the gathered faith community as the table.

What styles of worship do we offer?
Sunday morning is mostly blended worship making use of both traditional and contemporary liturgies and songs. Wednesday night worship is a modern style worship service. The emphasis is still worship but the execution is different with contemporary songs and messages brought forth in a variety of ways.

What opportunities are there for children and youth education?

Youth (9th - 12th grade)
Sunday education hour from 9:30a to 10:30a. St. Mark youth follow the Akaloo program where they learn how to grow into disciples of Christ.
Youth (6th - 8th grade)
Sunday education hour from 9:30a to 10:30a. St. Mark youth follow the Akaloo program where they learn how to grow into disciples of Christ. Middle schoolers also participate in confirmation instruction on Wednesday evenings starting at 5:30p.

Children (Pre-k - 5th grade)
Wednesday evening children participate in Christ Quest. An education ministry for children to grow in to disciples of Christ. This instruction is then re-enforced during Kid's church held during the Sunday education hour 9:30a to 10:30a. Christ Quest starts at 5:30 on Wednesday evenings.
Does St. Mark have education opportunities for adults?
Yes! St. mark has Faith enrichment for Adults on Sunday mornings at 9:30a as well as Home Bible Studies, typically held on Friday evenings. In addition, St. Mark offers adult education opportunies onn Wednesday evenings starting at 7:00p.

How can I become more involved in the community of faith at St. Mark?
Start by visiting worship services at St. Mark and getting to know the community. Then a conversation with the Pastor about joining the church will include talking about previous church homes and appropriate orientation for membership at St. Mark.

Whom do you talk to about a baptism?
After attending worship, contact the Pastor about scheduling a baptism.

Do we perform non-member weddings?
Yes, St. Mark does perform weddings for non-members. Please call the church office (763-784-2558) to check on availability.
